Welcome to the Department of English Language Education

Staff members of the Department of English Language Education are experienced language teachers and teacher trainers. We all have many years of experience working at schools, language courses and teacher training institutions (teacher colleges, teacher development centres), and even in foreign schools. We are happy to share our expertise with future teachers as well as those who would like to further develop their current career in education. Apart from teaching we are active researchers in the broad area of second/foreign language acquisition. Our extensive expertise and interests are reflected in our unique teaching specialisation programme: Master’s in English Language Teaching, where students hoping to follow a career in English language education can learn about virtually any aspect of such work and the exciting challenges it entails.
